CHRISTIAN COUNSELING WORKS
Christian Counseling is distinct from secular counseling. According to the International Association of Biblical Counselors, Biblical counseling "seek to carefully discover those areas in which a Christian may be disobedient to the principals and commands of Scripture and to to help him learn to lovingly submit to God's will." Christian counselors, therefore, approach psychology through the lens of the Bible.
They see the Bible as a source of all truth.

A Letter from a Longtime Client to Future Clients:
Cathy has a warm, loving, generous, and kind spirit – something that you feel immediately upon meeting her. It is this gentle, loving, and kind soul that puts Cathy’s clients at ease almost immediately. You know just from the energy of her presence that she is someone you can trust and open up to, without judgement or criticism.
Cathy has gone through a myriad of challenges and obstacles in her life, allowing for her to have a unique perspective to be able to help others. While although some of her difficulties were not preferable for her to go through, Cathy trusts in her faith and purpose and has realized these times in her life have allowed her to help others in ways that can offer true and sincere empathy, understanding, and support – and hope and encouragement for the future. She believes there is a purpose in everything, even if we do not understand that purpose in the moment. It is in these times that she has learned to lean heavier on her faith and trust in God, and because of this, she is able to help her clients learn and trust to do the same.
Cathy understands we are human and that sometimes we feel difficult or unpleasant emotions – sadness, anger, bitterness, resentment, jealousy, frustration, hopelessness, etc. She is acutely aware that it isn’t always easy to “just get over it” and never offers that type of superficial support. Cathy will help you figure out where those feelings are coming from and why. She will display a level of patience in this process that gives you the comfort and ease to know you can take as long as is needed to process the emotions and work through them. With guidance from the Bible and through her prayers, Cathy will be your helping hand and guide throughout, while simultaneously helping you to understand how and why the Word is applicable for this moment and in your life as a whole.
Cathy cannot be highly recommended enough. She is loved and respected by many, and for good reason. Cathy takes a genuine interest and concern for your well-being and displays love toward you in a way the resembles the love Jesus Christ has for us all. She encourages release of the difficult and unpleasant emotions and focus toward the grace and mercy for yourself and others that our Savior has given to us. Placing your trust in Cathy to help you with whatever you need, will not leave you disappointed.
All the best to you. Always.
My wife and I saw Cathy at a time of crisis in our marriage and I can’t recommend her enough to anyone else going through personal crisis or just personal struggles. This is a woman powerfully guided and obedient to the Holy Spirit and the love and grace flowing from that Spirit.
After 29 years of marriage my wife and I were done. We both agreed to try counseling as a last resort but neither expected positive results. Through God's grace we found Cathy. Cathy is very patient, kind and understanding. From a man's prospective, she accepts my faults without excusing them.
But she can be tough and is not afraid to confront improper behavior and attitudes using God's word as a foundation for hare advice and direction. With Cathy's guidance, my wife and I are back together and doing better than ever. Her patience and guidance have been a blessing and we thank God for bring her into our lives.
Mrs. Teague, has been as God send for me! She genuinely cares about me, listens, and counseling me with wisdom that is founded in the word of God. She is a powerful woman of God who is led by the spirit in her guidance and direction she gives to her clients.
There is no doubt that she is called and used by God to help lead others to a life of wholeness and healing. I am so thankful for all that she has done for me! I would strongly recommend her to anyone seeking counseling.
Going into counseling with reservations, Cathy immediately put me at ease. Her Spirit is genuine and kind and simply being in her presence made me feel at ease. Cathy is patient, genuine, encouraging, reassuring, respectful, kind and loving. I have always appreciated the
perspective she can give me and to this day-year's after our first visit she continues to recharge my spirit. I absolutely love and appreciate Cathy
and impact she's had on my life, so very much. I would, and do, recommend her to anyone.
I came to Cathy Teague in great emotional distress after leaving my beloved profession. Through talk,
laughter and tears, she has walked beside me as I mourned discarded dreams, forgave transgressions
and released disappointments, hurt and anxiety. She continues to work with me as I reach for fresh
experiences, only possible when I let God work in me. Building a new life isn’t easy, but it is essential
when the old ways have stopped working. Thank you, Cathy, for your insight, encouragement and gentle nudging when I need it

In a great time of struggle we cried out to the Lord for help, and he sent an agent of peace and
understanding to direct us in our troubled time: Catherine Teague. Without a doubt, her wisdom and
insight are truly from God. Her efforts and ambition to aid the emotionally and spiritually wounded will
undoubtedly influence countless hearts to begin to heal. We will forever be grateful to Cathy for helping us to break free from the complete despair and brokenness that we were living in.
“I met Cathy at a time where I felt totally helpless and needed someone to talk to. Cathy was an angel who helped bridge the gap in communication in our marriage. She was so patient throughout the whole process. After several weeks, we finally came to a point of reconciliation and love that I thought we lost. I can say God used Cathy as an instrument to help us in our crisis.”
“My husband and I were married 37 years, when we decided we needed help to save our marriage. We didn't want to give up on it, but we were both so unhappy, and knew we couldn't do it on our own. We found Cathy Teague and made our first appointment.
We met with Cathy Teague. At that first appointment we were sitting at opposite ends of the couch, as far from each other as possible. Cathy put us at ease right away. She listened and didn't judge us. We both walked away from the first session drained, but relieved that we had found the right person to help us through our struggles. It wasn't always easy, but definitely needed. We were able to apply techniques she gave us to keep disagreements from escalating into screaming matches. Now when we meet with Cathy, we sit next to each other, and even hold hands.
We both feel like we found a friend in Cathy, and would highly recommend Cathy Teague. She has been a blessing to us.” – K.M.
